California is coming to the Médoc, bringing togetherclassic car enthusiasts from 23 to 24 May 2026. Like true gems, the cars wind their way along the Avenue de l’Océan, creating a life-size exhibition to the delight of enthusiasts and lovers of vintage cars.

8th edition 23 & 24 May 2026 A trip down memory lane

A real journey in the past

For a weekend in Montalivet, the seaside resort is transported back in time. The streets come alive, chrome-plated car bodies glisten in the spring sunshine and engines roar between the ocean and the forest.

Every classic car tells a story:of an era, a style, the American dream or European craftsmanship. Visitors wander freely amongst the classic cars, chat with the owners and rediscover the automotive elegance of yesteryear.

This unmissable event in Montalivet attracts enthusiasts of classic cars, American cars, ‘youngtimers’ and legendary models from the 1950s to the 1980s every year. Collectors from all over France exhibit perfectly restored cars, testaments to a unique automotive heritage!

The atmosphere is decidedly vintage:

  • Exhibition of vintage and classic cars
  • American cars and iconic models
  • Rock and retro music
  • Pin-up theme and vintage accessories
  • A 1950s-style car wash

Whether you’re a fan of beautiful cars, curious about vintage culture or simply passing through Vendays-Montalivet, this annual event is the perfect opportunity to discover the resort in a different light, just as it comes to life and gradually regains its summer energy.
