Every year, we host the Longboard Masters! Over a weekend in September, surfing enthusiasts gather for a vintage, laid-back event that celebrates surf culture.

It’s not just surfers who appreciate this exceptional setting. The landscapes of Vendays-Montalivet, with their wild dunes and pine forests, are also a real draw for nature lovers. After an intense session, there’s nothing more pleasant than relaxing on the sand, gazing out towards the horizon, whilst listening to the soothing sound of the waves breaking on the shore. The vast beaches,often less crowded than those at the major seaside resorts, offer a feeling of total freedom,almost as if time had stood still!

There are plenty of local surf schools, enabling everyone – from beginners to experienced surfers – to improve their skills in a safe and friendly environment. The experienced instructors know the local waves inside out and offer valuable advice to help surfers improve their technique, understand ocean conditions and perfect their craft!
