Accessibility

Here in Monta, we consider accessibility to be essential to ensuring a warm welcome for everyone. It enables everyone, including people with disabilities and families, to participate fully in community life. We provide you with all the information you need to make organising your stay in Montalivet as straightforward as possible.

At the Tourist Office

The Vendays-Montalivet Tourist Office is an excellent starting point for exploring this unique destination, with its prime location on the pedestrianised street making it accessible to all. Furthermore, the office is in the process of obtaining the‘Tourisme Handicap’ label, which will guarantee its accessibility for people with four types of disability: physical, mental, cognitive and psychological. The ‘Tourisme & Handicap’ label aims to improve accessibility for all people with disabilities, whatever their specific needs, so that they can choose their holidays and leisure activities independently.

Where can I find a disabled parking space in Monta?

The Montalivet Tourist Office is proud to have recently been awarded the ‘Tourisme & Handicap’ label, which recognises our commitment to welcoming everyone, including people with disabilities.

In line with this, we have produced three practical guides specially designed for people with reduced mobility (PRM).

👉 These booklets are written in FALC – Easy to Read and Understand.

FALC is a writing method that makes information clear and understandable for everyone, particularly for people with reading difficulties or a cognitive disability. The sentences are short, the vocabulary is simple, and ideas are presented in a logical order.

Our booklets carry the FALC label, guaranteeing a level of accessibility validated by professionals and those with lived experience.

👩‍🦯 And because accessibility also means including people who are blind or visually impaired, we have also produced a booklet in Braille. It is available at the Tourist Office reception.
