The heart of Monta

The market

Strolling the aisles of the market is a Montalivet tradition! On summer mornings, it brings the whole resort to life. In winter, it warms up the atmosphere and becomes a meeting place for regulars. Tourists and locals alike gather on the square to share a warm, friendly moment over a coffee, a glass of wine or a platter of oysters.

200 retailers to take you on a journey

A must for holidaymakers, stroll between the stalls to discover the region’s treasures. Created in 1957, the Monta market has become one of the most important in the department.

In summer, over 200 stallholders set up shop every morning, to the delight of tourists and locals alike. This is the place where the resort is in full swing, and where everyone can find what they’re looking for in a relaxed atmosphere.

On your way to the beach, you’ll be tempted by our craftsmen who display their original creations. You can also shop for lunch with our local producers. If you’re in too much of a hurry, you can also grab a bite to eat from one of our food trucks.

Before you leave, don’t forget to try a few oysters and a glass of wine, and become a true Médocain!

The Vendays-Montalivet market, located in the heart of the seaside resort, is much more than just a place to shop: it’s a veritable rendezvous with conviviality, freshness and local flavors. Every morning, under the colorful awnings, the square is transformed into a veritable festival of color and fragrance.

The market, with its simplicity and warmth, embodies the very spirit of Vendays-Montalivet: a seaside resort that, while open to the world, retains its authentic soul, its deep connection with nature and its traditions.
